While I can't write about every event as soon as it happens, I want to ensure that every medal winner gets recognition. This is simply a hobby that we writers do in our spare time. As a massive Olympic fan, I keep the events running in the background throughout the day, though I’m not always in a position to type up the results immediately and therefore sometimes I will be writing things and publishing them back to back. This might change as our magazine and online community grow, but for now, we're just a group of friends who write for ourselves.

Tom Daley and Noah Williams delivered a stunning performance to win the silver medal in the men's synchronised 10m platform at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Daley, 30, who had effectively retired from the sport after his gold medal win in Tokyo, made a remarkable comeback alongside his partner, 24-year-old Williams.

After a two-year hiatus from diving, Daley returned to the biggest stage, spurred on by his six-year-old son Robbie's desire to see his 'Papa' dive at the Olympics. The pair demonstrated incredible poise and precision, executing six brilliant dives that secured their position as comfortable silver medallists.

China's Lian Junjie and Yang Hao, reigning champions with three consecutive world titles, proved to be formidable opponents. They led from the first round and finished with a commanding score of 490.35 points. Daley and Williams earned a total of 463.44 points, while Canada's Ryan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray claimed bronze with a score of 426.45 points.

Daley's return was not just about the competition; it was a deeply personal journey. His husband Dustin Lance Black, their sons Robbie and Phoenix, and numerous friends and family members were present at the Paris Aquatics Centre to cheer him on. Robbie and Phoenix wore t-shirts reading 'That's my Papa,' and Daley's first flicker of emotion came as he blew a kiss to his family from the medal podium.

"It's just so special," Daley said. "Doing it in front of my son who asked me to come back is so special. I now have one of every colour, I've completed the set."

For Noah Williams, this silver medal marked his first Olympic accolade. Williams, who first became inspired to dive after watching Daley compete at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, praised his partner's performance. "Tom dove amazingly," Williams said. "The fact he dove like that, and China were really good as well, helped me to elevate how I normally dive to what I did today."

Williams is also set to compete in the individual 10m platform event later in the Games, where he hopes to build on this success.

This silver medal adds to Team GB's tally in Paris, bringing their total to five medals: three silvers and two bronzes. Daley and Williams' achievement follows the bronze won by Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper in the women's synchronised 3m springboard.

Daley's future in the sport remains uncertain. When asked about the possibility of competing in Los Angeles 2028, Daley said, "I don't know. Right now, I want to enjoy today and then we'll see what the future holds."

Regardless of what comes next, Daley's comeback and the silver medal in Paris have further cemented his legacy as one of Great Britain's greatest Olympians. His journey from a young prodigy to a seasoned champion, alongside the rising star of Noah Williams, has inspired fans and fellow athletes alike.
